As long as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exists, this conversation will never end. Here’s our picks for the 10 Most Legendary Acts Who Deserve a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction.

Heavy metal hasn’t gone far in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Besides Black Sabbath and Metallica, there aren’t many representatives of the genre. Despite a 40-plus year career and stadium shows no matter where on earth they play, Iron Maiden still haven’t been inducted. They’ve never even been nominated! Same goes for Judas Priest, who will celebrate 50 years of excellence come 2019.

It’s a shame that some of our most beloved fallen heroes didn’t get to see themselves inducted into the Hall. Though Ronnie James Dio successfully fronted Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Dio, the Hall of Fame hasn’t opened their arms to the vocal titan. Even when Black Sabbath was inducted in 2006, Ronnie James Dio was not included, despite reinvigorating the band during the ‘80s.

Though the Hall has been kind to hard rock over the years, we’ve still got a few bones to pick. Alice in Chains has been eligible for an induction since 2015, so let’s get them in there! Pearl Jam will walk through the Hall’s threshold this year, so why not Soundgarden? They could have been inducted as early as 2013, but yet, the honor has still evaded them.
