Family and friends gathered at Grange Kitchen & Bar in Ann Arbor for a viewing party and to celebrate Nicholas Bruzzano's victory on the popular TV show.

The young man, and aspiring chef, took home $10,000 and a new chefs coat and although he knew for months that he had won, he had to keep it between him and his parents until the episode aired. When asked if it was hard to keep the results a secret, Bruzzano laughed and told MLive "Uh yeah, a little!"

Bruzzano beat out three other contestants, and although he had a few issues in the desert round, he was able to recover and take home the title. His mentor, Chef Brandon Johns of Grange Kitchen & Bar, who had been working with Bruzzano for over two years said, "I taught him a lot of techniques, but really he has his own approach to flavors and spices." The duo seems to have a great chemistry, watch as they create Lamb Kidneys together. Below that is the reaction of family and friends as they witness his victory on television!

It's always a joy to see young people who have an idea of what they want to do when they grow up, and I think it's safe to say that Nicholas Bruzzano is on the right path.
