2011 Gaming Preview: Rage

The ongoing preview of all things badass for 2011 continues with one of  the most promising video games due next year. Read after the jump for more on the long awaited first-person shooter "Rage".

#4. Rage: id software makes a long awaited return to the genre they helped create with Wolfenstein 3d. Rage has been in the works for some time now and promises to be one of the most elaborate first-person shooters ever created. I didn't want to go overboard and have a list full of  the same kind of games so this one beat out "Duke Nukem Forever" and "Killzone 3". Both of those are definitely gonna kick ass, but I'm betting this one is gonna kick the most. The game is set in a post apocalyptic world and looks a lot like a Mad Max movie. The crew at  id is also working on "Doom 4" right now (LOVED those games back in the day) and claim it will blow "RAGE" out of the water. From the looks of this trailer I don't know how that is possible, but I'm excited about it. I could tell you more but I think this gameplay trailer will do all the talking.
