Rescuers are searching one of three teens that fell through the ice in the Muskegon River on Thursday.

According to WNEM, two teens who fell through the ice are safe, but a third teen (15 years old) didn't get to shore Thursday. A small boat and sonar equipment were being used in the search Friday. The incident took place in Sylvan Township, 85 miles north of Grand Rapids.

Falling through the ice is truly one of my biggest fears in life. My heart starts to race just thinking about it.

On the west side of the state yesterday, it was very cold, snowy and windy. I'm amazed the other two kids were able to get to shore.

Our thoughts are with the boy's family during this extremely difficult time.
