While it's unclear whether 30 Seconds To Mars are headed for a breakup or a long hiatus, they still found time for an MTV 'Unplugged' performance that aired this week. The band pulled out all the stops and even recruited an orchestra and a gospel choir to help them play songs like 'Kings and Queens', 'Hurricane', and a cover of U2's 'Where the Streets Have No Name'.

When you think of great 'Unplugged' performances, a few names come to mind: Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Lil' Wayne...maybe not that one, but you get the idea. 30 Seconds to Mars joined the list populated (mostly) by talented artists that have taken part in the long standing MTV tradition. I'm just glad Jared left his Kurt Cobain impression at home this time. The performance was actually shot in May but MTV just aired it last Tuesday (7/19).
