7 Year-Old Michigan Boy Dies After Being Hit By Car at Summer Camp

A 7-year-old boy was recently killed while attending summer camp on the west side of the state near Kalamazoo.

According to NBC25, he was part of  "Bug Science" camp along with about 20 other children in first through third grade. While at camp, they went on a field trip where he struck by a vehicle near a crosswalk area near 12th Street Elementary School in Portage. The children were under adult supervision at the time.

Counselors will be on hand this week to talk with students who attended the camp.

I feel so bad for the kids that had to witness this, I'm sure it's something that will haunt them the rest of their lives.
