I was born in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, one of the best cities in the world! I grew up spending a lot of time out on the great lakes and at the county parks. In sixth grade I moved to Jackson, Mississippi. After 5 years of studying the “ways of the redneck” my dad was lucky enough to get a job back in Michigan and we moved into Genesee County. While attending Swartz Creek High School, I worked at the local skating rink in Flushing (yes, I've heard all the jokes....let it go!).
After I graduated in 2001, I attended the University of Michigan – Flint. I am still two semesters away from my BA in Business and a Minor in Communication. No…the program is not that long; I took time off of school for the birth of my daughter.
I started my radio career on a whim. In the summer of 2003, I went with a friend to the CK 105.5 studios to hang the night show host “Just Bob.” After the show we were invited back to be night show interns. I worked my way up from intern to part-timer/weekender to morning show co-host in less than 2 years. After a couple years in that building, I realized that it was time to look for the next step.
In 2007, I accepted a weekend position with Banana 101.5. A big step back career wise but necessary. After paying more dues and fighting my way up the totem pole, I accepted the Promotions Director Position in October of 2008. Right now, you can hear me on the Afternoon Traffic Watch and Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8am-11am.
Now that I have one year under my belt and am working with this staff I couldn't be more happy! An awesome station with a solid crew!
