A Perfect Circle kicked off what looked like a fully booked summer at Rock on the Range 2011 this past Sunday. Here we are just a few days out and drummer Josh Freese has already decided he will be sitting out the rest of this summer's shows with the band.

Josh apparently had an obligation to tour with Weezer on their next outing which just so happened to conflict with APC's tour schedule. The band will replace Freese with Jeff Freidl who has previously played with APC's Billy Howerdel in his other band Ashes Divide. Freese has always been a bit of a hired gun and has played with just about every band you can think of (GN'R, NIN, The Offspring, Avril Lavigne, Megadeth, Gavin Rossdale, etc.) so it's no surprise that he could get double booked like this.

The news comes almost at the same time of the announcement that they had extended the tour through August. The closest of those venues being the PNC Pavillion at Riverbent in Cincinnati, Ohio (August 8th). Hopefully there are some really big Josh Freese fans that will be so upset by this news that they sell their ticket to the sold out show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit July 8th to me for dirt cheap.
