On Wednesday, Ford employees found 277 pounds of marijuana inside rail cars at the Ford Rail Distribution Facility. The rail cars were carrying new Ford and Lincoln vehicles from Mexico to the facility in Woodhaven.

Authorities at ICE's Homeland Security Investigations were contacted to seize the marijuana. Over 200 cars were searched in the investigation. Last week, authorities found around $1 million worth of marijuana in trunks of Ford vehicles at a Ohio dealership. Those vehicles were shipped from a plant in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
