Although the only French word we know is “ménage a trois,” we felt compelled to inform you that April is wine month in the state of Michigan. Sure, we agree, contributing an entire month to wine in a place that has spawned one of the largest craft brew markets in America sounds a bit ridiculous, but wine is booze, after all, and we’re all for celebrating that.

Of course, connoisseurs of this beverage will tell you that with over 100 wineries and 15,000 acres of vineyard, Michigan is the ultimate wine state. But then again, some folks in Detroit say the same about ripple. So, we guess it is fair to say that Michigan is for drunkards from every class, and let's face it, hangovers do not discriminate.

Now, it is important to understand that none of this rambling really means anything in the grand scheme of wine consumption for medicinal or recreational purposes, but something needed to be said because the video above is a little boring.

So, grab a bottle or box of your favorite fermented red or white concoction this month and pay homage to the grape...or don't, we really don't care. We're simply waiting for the state to legalize recreational marijuana, so we can celebrate April (4/20) the way it was truly intended -- stoned. Let's see Pure Michigan market that to tourists!
