‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force’ Returns As ‘Aqua TV Show Show’ Tonight [VIDEO]

'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' has changed names a number of times in the past few years, which has made it somewhat tough to keep tabs on. So we figured we should give you a heads up that the show returns tonight (Sunday, 8/11) under the name 'Aqua TV Show Show.' See a sneak peek of tonight's episode here.

ATHF started out as one of the funniest animated shows on TV thanks to the loudmouth antics of Master Shake, as well as that of his  roommates Meatwad and Frylock... and we can't not mention their hilariously sleazy neighbor Carl Brutanandilewski. Unfortunately, the show started to lose steam somewhere around season 5. There was also 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters' that, aside from having one of the best trailers of all time (see below) and a kick ass opening musical sequence courtesy of Mastodon, totally sucked.

Everyone's favorite New Jersey food detectives eventually found their way back to the funny after a horrible live-action finale starring T-Pain (yes, that T-Pain) and then re-branding as 'Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1.' The following season, they employed another move that fooled our DVR by, again, changing the name of the show to 'Aqua Something You Know Whatever.'

Now they are set to return for the 10th season under the name 'Aqua TV Show Show.' Apparently, they announced this a while ago... but we just heard today so we figured we should give you some notice. Last year we totally missed the quietly announced premiere and had to play catch-up. Check out the Comic-Con 2013 trailer above, as well as a sneak peek of tonight's episode, which looks like the gang is back in top form. Here's hoping that Mooninites Ignignokt and Err and Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future make a return this season. We miss those guys.
