Hey, guys! I grew up listening to classical music, opera and musical theater, but somewhere along the way, discovered rock and metal. Hearing bands like Nirvana, A Perfect Circle, AFI, RED and Seether opened up a new world to me, and I’ve worked in the music business ever since. I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre from Michigan State University and started working as a reporter for Gannett Michigan. I also scored my first radio job on an alternative station in Michigan. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Billy Corgan, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Metallica's Kirk Hammett and many more. Fun fact: I don’t like going to the movies. I can't sit still that long! Thanks for listening, and God bless!

Mark Tremonti Chats About Singing Leads on Solo Album
Mark Tremonti plays the Machine Shop this Thursday on a trek supporting his debut solo album, ‘All I Was.’ Of course, when most people think of Tremonti, they think of him as a killer guitar player and shredder. But, he sings lead vocals on his solo album, and I recently chatted with him about that switch.
P.O.D., Shinedown and More Rock Uproar 2012
I trekked out to DTE Friday (Sept. 7) for the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival and had the pleasure of interviewing Shinedown and Deuce at the show. Look for the interviews to go up later this week!
Overall, Uproar drew a packed crowd and some killer sets. A few of the highlights for me included P.O.D.’s always-sick, energizing set and Shinedown’s headlining performance.

Video Flashback: Nirvana, ‘The Man Who Sold the World’
I’ve been on a grunge kick lately. Ever since the 20th anniversary of ‘Nevermind,’ it seems I’ve been listening to ‘90s grunge nonstop, so I don’t know why I can’t get it out of my head, but I can’t!
Mark Tremonti Talks Origin of Solo Project
Mark Tremonti of Creed and Alter Bridge fame is hitting the Machine Shop in Flint on Sept. 20, bringing tracks from his debut solo release, ‘All I Was.’ Tremonti, of course, is a sick guitar player, so it should be awesome to see him shred it up in an intimate venue like the Machine Shop.

Falling in Reverse Added to Dirt Fest 2012 Lineup
Dirt Fest 2012 is about a month away, and if you haven’t heard, Las Vegas boys Falling in Reverse were just confirmed as one of the headliners. I had the chance to chat with singer Ronnie Radke for Loudwire last year, and he described how he turned his life around after serving time in a Nevada prison and, in essence, has music to thank for making his turnaround complete.
