Hey, guys! I grew up listening to classical music, opera and musical theater, but somewhere along the way, discovered rock and metal. Hearing bands like Nirvana, A Perfect Circle, AFI, RED and Seether opened up a new world to me, and I’ve worked in the music business ever since. I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre from Michigan State University and started working as a reporter for Gannett Michigan. I also scored my first radio job on an alternative station in Michigan. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Billy Corgan, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Metallica's Kirk Hammett and many more. Fun fact: I don’t like going to the movies. I can't sit still that long! Thanks for listening, and God bless!

Video Flashback: Filter, ‘Take a Picture’
Filter have always been one of those bands that can rock out at full volumes and then pull it back for a softer sound. 'Take a Picture' is a great example of that softer side, and it's one of my favorite Filter songs. Hopefully the guys will play it on Oct. 19 when they headline the Machine Shop!
Weekend Song Pick: Korn, ‘Never Never’
Korn are back with a new album, 'The Paradigm Shift,' which arrives on Oct. 4, and the band is currently out on the road in support of the upcoming release. The nu metal guys make a stop Tuesday (Oct. 1) at the Fillmore in Detroit, where they'll likely preview plenty of songs off 'The Paradigm Shift.'

Hello Kitty Madness
Sure, I love Hello Kitty just as much as the next girl, but this is going a bit too far. Singapore residents have gotten pretty passionate about a series of special Hello Kitty toys that McDonald’s started selling the end of May. The toys appear in outfits inspired by fairy tales, and the six Hello Kitty toys in the set were unleashed in phases. The final toy, a “Singing Bone” toy, created a real
