The Marvel and DC Superheroes Battle For Supremacy in a Slick New Fan Trailer
It’s a debate that has literally raged on for decades. Who would win in a fight: the heroes of the Marvel comic book universe or the heroes of DC Comics? It’s mostly been a theoretical debate. Even a handful of special events over the years that saw both companies come together to pit their characters against one another have done little to solve things. This eternal, burning question is the inspiration behind a new fan-made trailer for a movie that will never, ever exist: ‘Marvel vs DC.’
‘Taken 3’ Trailer: Liam Neeson is Back Again to Kill Everyone. Again.
The 'Taken' films have been a blessing and a curse for star Liam Neeson. Sure, he's found great success in his newfound career as an aging action hero, but the days of Neeson being a completely respectable presence in prestige films seem to have come to an end. So the 'Taken 3' trailer fills us with mixed feelings. We'd love to see Neeson doing something else, but man, he sure is good at killing people.
Sony Hackers Threaten Terrorist Attacks Against Theaters Showing ‘The Interview’
The Sony hacking scandal has proven to be a massive headache for a company that’s already been having a rough few years. And now, this increasingly weird story has taken an even darker turn: the hackers are threatening to launch terrorist attacks against theaters showing ‘The Interview’ this Christmas. Seriously.
Here’s a First Look at Iron Man’s New ‘Avengers 2’ Armor
As major movie productions keep on getting more secretive, even the best laid plans keep on getting foiled by one thing: merchandising. Yes, hide you costumes and characters and plot points all you want, because when the toys arrive, all bets are off! The latest casualty in this very silly war is Iron Man’s new armor (the Mark XLIII), which was supposedly going to make its debut at some point in ‘Avengers 2’ but can now be clearly seen, examined, and salivated over in toy form.
Cary Fukunaga’s ‘It’ Split Into Two Films, Separating the Past and Present Timelines
Stephen King’s ‘It’ is a beast of a book. Over its 1,000-plus pages, the novel follows a group of close-knit friends who do battle with a malevolent, child-killing force in their youth, only to reunite decades later to finish the job. It’s a messy, ambitious and insanely (perversely, even) detailed work. It feels unadaptable. But no one tell that to ‘True Detective’ director Cary Fukunaga, whose long-gestating adaptation is finally going before cameras next summer.
Christian Bale Got Super Jealous When He Heard Ben Affleck Was Playing Batman
Every generation has their Batman. Depending on the age of the person you ask, you’ll discover Adam West fans, Michael Keaton fans, Kevin Conroy fans and, if you stare into the darkness long enough, a George Clooney fan. For a certain group of fans, Christian Bale’s take on the Dark Knight always be the definitive interpretation, with his gravelly growl and trademark intensity instantly beating out whatever Ben Affleck brings to the character in ‘Batman vs. Superman.’ Some of these people are going to resent Affleck no matter what. And, in a surprising turn of events, it looks like they can all rally around Bale himself.
‘Insidious: Chapter 3′ Trailer: Yep, That’s Definitely an ‘Insidious’ Movie
Although original director James Wan has left the franchise to move onto a little movie called 'Fast and Furious 7,' the 'Insidious: Chapter 3' trailer shows that this awesomely bonkers horror franchise is still in good hands. Series screenwriter Leigh Whannell is now in the director's chair and he definitely seems to have picked up a thing or two from his old collaborator.
How ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Will Explain Wonder Woman’s Origin
We really don't know much about how Wonder Woman will fit into the plot of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.' We do know that she's being played by Gal Gadot and that she will, somehow, get some screen time alongside Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman and Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. But that's about it ... until now! Thanks to a tiny snippet (caught on Vine, no less) we now know that DC's Amazon warrior will forego her classic origin story in favor of her modern beginning.
The ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Batmobile Was Stolen…By a Stormtrooper
A pretty wacky rumor sprung up over the weekend. It seems that, according to certain sources, the Batmobile from 'Batman vs Superman' had been stolen from the set, which meant that some car thief was driving around Detroit in their brand new tank. The rumor was quickly put to rest, but not before director Zack Snyder was able to joke about it.
‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ Has Officially Resumed Filming
For awhile there, it looked like 'Star Wars: Episode 7' was in trouble. Harrison Ford had broken his leg in a freak Millennium Falcon accident and there were rumors that the production was going to be shut down for weeks! Months! Forever!!! And then Harrison Ford got better and the only real damage to the schedule was a two-week break where everyone made ice bucket challenge videos and refused to answer questions to prying reporters on red carpets.
And now, 'Star Wars: Episode 7' has officially resumed filming.
‘Batman vs. Superman’ Set Photos Show Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne as More Plot Details Emerge
We've already seen our fair share of 'Batman vs. Superman' set photos showing off Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, but we now have our first look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne! And he looks like ... Ben Affleck! With some grey in his hair! Yeah, thats not too surprising. After all, the ruggedly handsome Affleck already looks enough like a playboy millionaire and the little bit of grey just confirms what director Zack Snyder has already said: this will be an older, more tired Batman.
‘Sin City 2′ Red Band Trailer: Black and White and Red All Over
With all of the big news coming out of Comic-Con this year, Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' seemed to get lost in the shuffle. Perhaps that's why the extended red band trailer that played in Hall H has made its way online, giving us our best look yet at the decade-in-the-making sequel.
