When 30 Seconds to Mars finally wrapped up their monster ‘Guiness Book of World Record’ breaking world tour in support of ‘This Is War,’ the future of the band was a bit unknown. Although they never went on record to say they were breaking up, they never denied the claim either – leaving fans to speculate and fear the worst.
Fans have already waited 16 years to hear new music from Soundgarden, so what’s a few more months right? As the band’s fans patiently wait for the fall release of their new disc, Universal Music is offering up a sweet grungy treat. In celebration of the Soundgarden reunion, the label is releasing a Soundgarden classic album box set, fittingly dubbed ‘Soundgarden – Classic Album Selection,’ due out in May.
Creed recently kicked off their tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut disc ‘My Own Prison,’ but guitarist Mark Tremonti is gearing up for a milestone of his own later this summer. On July 12 Tremonti will release his debut solo disc titled ‘All I Was.’

California punk rockers Green Day will be on hand deliver the speech inducting GN’R into rock and roll history — joining a V.I.P. cast of presenters from ZZ Top who will induct Freddie King to John Mellencamp inducting Donovan.
The bad news continues to pile on for Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin. As previously reported back in January, Scantlin was pulled over in Culver City, Calif. for a simple traffic violation. After showing signs of intoxication, his car was searched and a “controlled substance” was reportedly found, leading to his arrest.
Deftones recently wrapped up pre-production on their seventh studio album and have set a date of July 9 to enter the studio for the new recording. The disc will be the follow-up to their 2010 release ‘Diamond Eyes.’
