In the late '90s, a group of young SoCal kids decided to form a band in Huntington Beach and began what would be a very successful journey together. That band was Avenged Sevenfold, who rose through the ranks in the early 21st century to become a force in the music scene.

It all started innocently enough as these teens started figuring out their lineup while recording their debut disc Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. Taking major strides forward with their sophomore set, Waking the Fallen, the band began to garner attention from major labels and by the time City of Evil came about they had a major label deal. From there, things really took off with successful album after album, a reputation as one of rock's top live acts and a drive to continually be ahead of the game and innovative in their connection to their crowd.
