Baby Dies After Mother and Child Fall Down Elevator Shaft [VIDEO]

A one month old baby has died after her mother pushed her stroller into an elevator that wasn't there.

According to WNEM, the mother was waiting for the elevator on the 23rd floor. When the doors opened she pushed the stroller in but there was no elevator. The mother and baby fell several feet onto the top of the elevator car. It then went down and stopped on the 15th floor.

The baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The building has had dozens of elevator violations over the last 15 years. So this is obviously something that could have been avoided.

The guilt this mother will feel will haunt her for the rest of her life.
