Even though snow is still on the ground here in Michigan. Baseball is back and the Tigers first spring training game is set for tomorrow.

As a long time Tigers fan it was difficult watching last year. Finishing in the middle of the Central Division with a 64-98 record I knew it would be a long season but damn almost 100 losses. That's a tough one to handle.

Days of high priced free agency players are long gone and the Tigers are rebuilding within the farm system. Young players such as pitcher Michael Fulmer, outfielders Jacoby Jones, and Christian Stewart are the future of the team.

The Tigers still have a few veterans that will help guide the team for future success. Future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabera and Nic Castellanos along with savvy second-year head coach Rod Gardenhire will lead the young Tigers in 2019. I do like where the team is headed but It's going to be a while before we start talking playoffs again.  Be patient Tiger fans.
