Set photos of Ben Affleck in costume already confirmed the reports that Batman/Bruce Wayne would be making an appearance in Suicide Squad, but if you needed any further confirmation, we’ve got that for you. Over the weekend, Suicide Squad was shooting a massive chase scene between Batman and Joker (in their respective vehicles) on the streets of Toronto, and we’ve got the video to prove it.

While you can’t see inside either of the vehicles in these Instagram videos, multiple reports from the set claim that inside the Joker’s car (a purple Lamborghini with the license plate “HAHAHA”) were the stunt doubles for The Joker and Harley Quinn and inside the Batmobile was, obviously, a Batman stunt double.

It doesn’t seem like an especially high-speed chase, but we’ll assume that will all be fixed and sped up during post-production.

Now, we don’t know exactly what’s going on in this scene, but based off what we do know, we’ll guess this is a flashback, taking place around the same time of these set videos of The Joker and a pre-Harley Quinn Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Since we know that Quinzel is Harley Quinn by the time the movie starts, this must be back before she made that transformation and before The Joker was incarcerated.

From everything we’ve heard, The Joker serves as a sort of Hannibal Lecter type presence for most of Suicide Squad, dishing “advice” from behind bars. While we wouldn’t expect to see Batman going up against the Suicide Squad, it looks more like we’ll see some scenes of Batman finally catching The Joker and sending him to Arkham Asylum.

While this confirms one of the reported Suicide Squad cameos, we still haven’t heard any type of confirmation about Lex Luthor. When the film was first announced, it was reported that Jesse Eisenberg would have a supporting role as Superman’s arch-nemesis. We’ve heard almost nothing about it since (and have seen no photos from the set hinting at that possibility), but given Warner Bros.’ desire to quickly build up this new universe, it certainly wouldn’t surprise us at all.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5, 2016.
