You just blew $200 at your local bar, and now you feel like you need some food to soak up the alcohol so you don't feel like you got ran over by a bus the next morning. Yeah, you could hit the old stand by, Taco Bell, but you want to sit and relax with your friends talking about the guy or girl that you "planned" on taking home. Here are my picks of the top 5 places to hit up after a night of heavy drinking.

1. Archie's of Davison

Archie's Family Restaurant is a staple for the younger crowd that doesn't want to go home after a night of partying, as well as the drunkards leaving Madden's or heading back to Lapeer from Flint. Open 24 hours, you don't have to worry if you are leaving the bar early, or on your way home from the after party. Like most places on this list, it's a bit of a greasy spoon, but what else would you ask for at 3 a.m.?

2. Capitol Coney Island

Capitol Coney Island, I don't remember the last time I ate at the there, not because it was a long time ago, but because I went there for the same reason most do, I was a little inebriated.  Drunks and late night freaks are whom you'll find here after the bar closes drinking coffee and eating to fill the belly with "drunk" food. Like all places on my list they are open 24 hours serving pretty much their full menu at any time.

3. Tom Z's Coney Island

Tom Z's Flint's Original Coney Island is a bit off the beaten path if your not at a bar in downtown Flint, but in my opinion is was of the best stops to make. Normally this place is a bit empty after the bars close due to its location, but the food is cheap and good. The building was remodeled about 2 years ago, so it's not too dingy inside. One warning though, you may run into a few of Flint's finest here, so make sure you definitely have a DD.

4. Angelo's Coney Island

The best part about Angelo's Coney Island is that you have two locations to choose from depending on what part of town you're out in. Angelo's #1 on the East Side, and Angelo's #2 on Dort Highway, I myself usually hit Angelo's on Dort Highway since that is where I spend most of my time (not picking up the fine ladies walking the street either). The food is good, and you can always get your favorite Flint Style Coney here. They have some of the best coney's in my opinion and only use Koegel hot dogs, which I won't eat any other hot dogs, ever!

5. Starlite Diner

Ah, Starlite! Everyone has been to Starlite and knows it's story after the bar closes. I like going to Starlite to watch all the drunks devour their omelets, drink their coffee and well just plain cause trouble. If you have been to Starlite lately you know they now have armed guards and only let people in when they have the room, leaving a nice line-up at the door. It's still on of the best places to go late at night, you will probably end up running into a few friends where you can share you stories about the night.

All in all, Flint is full of great "dives" to hang out at after you leave the bar, but these are just a few of my favorites. If you think you have a better list, or know of some place that I missed let me know. I may just compile a list of your favorites.
