Breaking Ben fans haven't had much to look forward lately with the band on indefinite hiatus as frontman Ben Burnley addresses health concerns. We have word that the band is dropping a double disc greatest hits collection that will also include rarities from their catalog.

The new collection is set for release August 16th and will be available in two different version; one with a singles disc only and a double disc version with the b-sides/rarities disc. You may recognize the first single Blow Me Away from the soundtrack to HALO2 or the So Cold EP. The version coming to radio in June is a remixed and re-recorded version featuring female volcalist Syd Duran of Valora.

For me a greatest hits album is always a sign of change in the band's camp, in this case I think some more Breaking Ben break up rumors will begin to circulate. Is Breaking Ben just giving their fans some different music until the hiatus is over or fulfilling their obligations to the record company so they can end the band?

Check out the original version of the single Blow Me Away complete with scenes from the terrible video game HALO2.
