Bret Michaels had a scare on the road Friday morning (June 21) while his tour bus was traveling between shows from Abilene,Texas to Biloxi, Miss. Breaking in a brand bus along the trek the vehicle hit some deer on the highway resulting in an accident.

Luckily, Michaels and everyone on the bus escaped relatively unscathed only suffering from minor cuts and bruises after the bus collided with the animals. Michaels checked in with Celebuzz after the accident to explain what happened. “Except for some bumps and bruises I am thankful there were no serious injuries," said Michaels. "It is unfortunate for the deer, but thankfully due to modern RV technology and a steel firewall we are all okay.  I have every intention to make tonight's show in Biloxi and the tour will continue."

Coincidentally, one of Michaels’ latest projects is a show on the Travel Channel called ‘Rock My RV with Bret Michaels’ where the Poison frontman transforms RVs from “ordinary to extraordinary.” The show airs Sunday nights at 9PM ET.

Michaels is currently out on a solo tour run with dates and festival stops throughout the summer.
