Buckcherry has been announced as the tour support for Guns N' Roses on a handful of dates for the upcoming U.S. tour.

Buckcherry vocalist Josh Todd was once a candidate to front the band Velvet Revolver, which consists mostly of former members of GN'R. While he didn't end up replacing Axl Rose as the voice in front of Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum -- he will be the voice in front of Axl...sort of.

It was just announced that Buckcherry will be the openers for the upcoming Fall 2011 Guns N' Roses U.S. Tour. Buckcherry is scheduled for five dates thus far and more may be added. The band already has separate dates booked starting in mid-November -- so it's likely that another opener will be named for the latter half of the tour.
