Calvin Johnson Aims For 2012 To Be Best Season Yet
Calvin Johnson has been one of the main forces in the turn around of the Detroit Lions and has achieved amazing individual accomplishments and feats on the field. But Megatron is looking to set the bar even higher, with his best season yet.
I have no issue calling Calvin Johnson the best WR in the NFL. There are other really good receivers, but I'd rather have CJ catching balls over anyone else on the planet. He's locked up as a Lion for the next seven years, worth every penny of his $102 million dollar contract, and was even named the cover boy of Madden 2013.
In the regular season, Johnson caught 96 balls for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns. In the playoffs he had 12 catches for 211 yard, getting into the endzone twice. Those are impressive numbers, but this year, Johnson is ready to take to the next level. Megatron was quoted
There's always more room for growth, if you feel you've reached the point where you don't have anything work on ... I'm at a loss for words right now. Just knowing me, just myself, I always feel like there is something I can work on every year
Johnson's desire to improve, teamed with the progression of Lions QB Matthew Stafford will hopefully mean big things for the Detroit Lions and this season and in the future.
