‘Wonder Woman’ Trailer: Diana Fights the War to End All Wars

As promised yesterday, a new Wonder Woman trailer has arrived and it is PACKED with new footage — from Diana’s home world of Themyscira (aka Paradise Island, which sounds like Jimmy Buffet’s jam) to the deadly realm of man (aka Earth), there’s a whole lot to unpack in the latest sneak peek at Gal Gadot’s first solo movie. And since it doesn’t arrive until next summer, we have plenty of time to take it all in.

Han Solo Cinematographer Says the ‘Star Wars’ Spinoff Is ‘Gonna Break Some Rules’

Lucasfilm is building a great roster of talent for its untitled Han Solo project, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing, Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover starring (as Han and Lando, respectively) and cinematographer Bradford Young — whose resumé includes stunning work on another recent sci-fi film: Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival. Those are some very bold names involved with the upcoming Star Wars spinoff, but just how subversive can we expect this movie to be when it’s tied to such a prominent franchise? According to Young, he’s been “pleasantly surprised” by the amount of creative freedom they have at Lucasfilm.

Michael Jackson and Stephen King’s ‘Ghosts’ Is the Weirdest Horror Movie You’ve Never Seen

“You know the one where Michael Jackson dresses up as an old white guy and dances in a haunted house?” is a thing I’ve said to countless people about the short film Ghosts. But every time I mention the Michael Jackson and Stephen King collaboration, no one knows what I’m talking about. That’s right, the King of Pop and the master of horror made a short film together in 1996. While the film may have 14 million views on YouTube, I’ve only met one other person who can slightly recall the movie. In honor of Halloween, I’m looking back on the 15-year-old movie and trying to figure out why it’s been forgotten.

‘Rambo’ Reboot in the Works Without Sylvester Stallone, Which Doesn’t Sound Like ‘Rambo’ At All

It’s been quite A Day, and we’ll forgive you for being distracted by the latest political news (aka What Did Anthony Weiner Do This Time?!) — as such, we also regret to inform you that the director of the recent action thriller Criminal is helming a new reboot of Rambo that will not feature Sylvester Stallone, which, if our science is correct, does not sound like a Rambo movie at all.

‘John Wick’ Director David Leitch Now Frontrunner for ‘Deadpool 2’

It’s been a rough week for the nascent Deadpool franchise. Last weekend, the original film’s director Tim Miller announced that he would not return to helm the planned sequel despite his fanbase’s widely held assumptions. Miller never signed any paperwork committing him to the project, and clarified his position on Saturday, citing creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds as the key reason for his abstaining. It left the producers in something of a bind, scrambling to lock down new talent before principal photography gets going early next year.

There Are Secret Messages Hidden in the ‘Rogue One’ IMAX Standees

It was only a matter of time before an enemy as insidious (something something Darth Sidious joke) as the Empire of the Star Wars movies began to invade the real world. Ahead of the premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, IMAX theaters across the country are setting up large standees to advertise the movie — and to pump our brains full of subliminal messages. Apparently, there are hidden codes and phrases amongst the text written on the posters, and now we know what some of them mean.
