I am the first to complain about Christmas.  The money, the shopping it goes on and on.

I tend to focus on the negative aspects of the holidays and find myself overwhelmed.  This is the time of year to count your blessings and think of other people.  I could use some improvement there.

Just minutes ago I logged on to a funeral home website to leave an online condolence message.  A friend I have not spoke to in quite some time tragically lost her son in a snowmobile accident.

It is never easy to lose a loved one but losing someone this close to Christmas just seems so wrong and unfair.  Something this horrible makes you put things in perspective.

I am going to do my best to make the most out  of the holidays.   Who spent more money then who is not important.  Family, health and happiness are the true gifts.  It sounds cheesy, but it is so true.

I am going to take my own advice and chill out about Christmas.  Hug my niece and nephews a little tighter and be happy to be alive.

Does this mean being nicer to Chrissy Monroe?  Let's not push it.

I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday.

Ho Ho Ho!
