The band Chickenfoot is teaming up with the organization Feeding America to help raise awareness of the desperate struggles many Americans face today.

The latest video from rock group Chickenfoot is all about getting the word out about how tough things have become for what used to be middle-class Americans. A statement from the band further explains:

"In the spirit of the song 'Three And A Half Letters (I Need A Job)' Chickenfoot invites everyone who is in a similar struggle to share their story in the form of the many letters that Sammy received and inspired this song. The song is motivated by the dismal economy, which has led to problems such as hunger and job loss and we hope that by offering a place for people to share their stories and their willingness and find work, people in their local communities can reach out to lend a hand. Maybe it's work as simple as cleaning up your back yard or building a fence, or maybe you know someone who has an open job that matches someone's skills -- simple things we can all do to help each other out can make a big difference in someone's life.

The band is teaming up with Feeding America  which is another way to help people in need. Sammy said "I received a lot of letters from people over the years who were looking for help or work and recently I received one from an Afghan War Veteran that ended with 'Can You Help? I need a Job.' That really hit me and the song came together. We really want to encourage people to help where they can, and I think one of the easiest ways is by making contributions to a local food bank. I hope we get this message across in this video and while we are on tour.

We will be reviewing all letter submissions and then publishing them and at show while we are on the road to help provide a wider audience for friends of the Foot in need of work."
