The price to switch over to the new card readers, and the liability businesses face for not switching, equals some establishments adding an extra fee to use your new fancy, fraud-proof card!

Just like any other new technology, it can be a pain to adjust to at first, then it becomes second nature to use. I've heard complaints about how long it takes the card readers to read the chip, but this is the first I've heard of businesses charging customers extra to pay for the transformation. The owner of Foutch's Pub drops some logic on the idea, while talking to ABC 12. It makes sense to me, but I wonder how many other people will agree. I'm hanging on to my old chip-less card for as long as I can, and I will forever hang on to my belief that cash is the best!
