Clare County 4-H Program May End Due to a Budgeting Crisis [VIDEO]

As a child, 4-H programs were a huge part of keeping me out of trouble, so it's saddening to hear that the Clare County program may be eliminated. 

I played little league, I learned about animals and farming, I went to camp and made art with my peers and even cultivated my talents in performing arts. My first public speaking "gig" (emceeing a magic show at MSU at age 14) was through 4-H. When you grow up in a small town with not much to do, you usually either find something to occupy your mind, or you go get your self in some trouble. Clare County is not far at all from where I grew up, and it's a similar feel. Not a ton to do for youngsters, but plenty of space and opportunity. Now, according to WNEM, some of that opportunity is in jeopardy.
