Clio Bowler Looking to Set World Record Tonight
Jason Hicks of Clio has been bowling his entire life and tonight he will be attempting to set a world record for the most strikes in one minute.
The current record of 12 will be tested by Hicks who has beaten the record before with 13 but it was not official. Today the Guinness Book of World Records will be there to make sure that it gets done properly. Now I have bowled quite a few times and I celebrate if I get more than three strikes in ten frames. He is going to 13 in one minute. Are you kidding me?
The Clio Bowling Alley along with the United States Miracle Works Foundation are helping young bowler Braden Miller of New Lothrop who is fighting a cancerous mass on his brain stem by selling $20 tickets for a half slab of ribs (Which Hicks cooks himself and are great) or unlimited glow bowling there at Clio Bowling alley tonight from 6:30 to 9 with free shoe rental. A win, win in my book.
So if you are going up north for the weekend stop in grab some ribs or throw a few down the lane to help out a good cause. For more information call Jason Hicks at (810) 686-0260. The events start tonight at 6.
