Luke LeClaire is a second grader at Lacure Elementary School in Clio. Sweet Luke suffers from a deadly genetic disease called Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). You and I may not be able to pronounce it, but we can certainly help.

This disease affects the white matter of the brain and the adrenal glands. Luke is currently in Minnesota seeking a bone marrow transplant. As you can imagine, this is not cheap.

The family is hosting a spaghetti dinner this Saturday night (2/15), in effort to raise money for medical and travel expenses. At this time, Luke's mother is with him and a portion of the proceeds raised will allow his father and brother to see him on the weekends.

The event is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Clio High School. Prices range from $7 for adults, $5 for kids ages 5 to 12, and children under 4 are free.

The event details are as follow:

  • Bake Sale
  • 50/50 Raffle
  • Live Music with Alter Ego
  • Inflatable Obstacle Course courtesy of Sgt. Vedder of the National Guard
  • Silent Auction
  • Super Hero Photos
  • Face Painting & Balloon Animals
