College Student Jumps From 3 Story Apartment Building [VIDEO]

Why would someone do this?  A Colorado State University student is lucky to be alive after jumping from an apartment building.  Ian Smith was attempting to jump into a swimming pool below, but before he hit water he hit concrete.  Smith is banged up to say the least!

The Blaze is reporting that witnesses heard him hit the concrete before he fell into the pool.  The end result? Smith has broken ankles, broken heels and broken vertebrae.  It is not known if the jumper was drinking alcohol.  Stupid!
