Tigers fans can expect a way better view in the 2024 season.

Some areas of Comerica Park are currently getting an upgrade ahead of the 2024 Detroit Tigers season. The videoboard in the stadium will be more than doubled in size by the time the upgrades are completed.

The project began back on Thursday, December 14th, 2023, and will continue during the next several months. The designers of the original scoreboard inside Comerica Park and been brought on board once again to manufacture the larger videoboard.

Just how much bigger will the new videoboard be?

The upgrades at Comerica Park will add 9,500 square feet to the videoboard and increase the resolution with 14.1 million pixels.

Not only will the videoboard see upgrades, but the televisions around the concourse of the park are set to be upgraded as well. More channels will be added to fans will also be able to watch minor league affiliate teams of the Detroit Tigers.

The new project follows several others in recent years including adjustments to the outfield wall height, stadium lighting, the Chevrolet Pavilion Bar, concession stands and more.
