Summer will be anything but "serene" when Stone Sour and Korn hit the road together for a North American tour. The two bands will head up a killer bill as part of "The Serenity of Summer" tour, and Corey Taylor for one is quite excited to share the stage with a band that he's proud to call friends.

We recently chatted with Taylor about his introduction to Korn and like many fans, he came across their music on MTV. "I wanna say it was '95 and we were living in Denver then and we were watching MTV and it showed music back then, good music and the video for 'Clown' came on and I was like, 'What the f---?' You know!," exclaims Taylor. "I was blown away."

He goes on to add, "It was so heavy and it was so dark and brutal in a way that I hadn't heard in a long time." Taylor says he had to go see them and caught an early show with them and Megadeth in Denver and calls it one of the greatest concert experiences of his life. "The excitement in the room was so palpable. The only way I can describe it is that it was the same way when I saw Guns N' Roses open for Aerosmith."

In the years since, Taylor has shared stages with Korn both as part of Slipknot and Stone Sour. He reveals, "Getting to know these guys and getting to be friends with these guys has been an absolute gift, an absolute honor."
