Couple Busted For Driving Cross Country With 5 Kids And 18 Cats In Back Of Moving Truck [VIDEO]

If you needed another reason to believe that some people are really dumb, here you go. David Detjen, 41, and Rebecca Detjen, 40,were busted recently when a relative tipped off police that the idiot parents were driving cross country with kids and cats stuffed in a Budget Rental moving truck.

The couple planned on driving from Pennsylvania to California to pursue work according to the Huffington Post. Police pulled over the truck in Indiana where they found two kids and three cats in the cab of the truck with their parents. Five children and eighteen cats were in the back packed in. The kids did have sleeping bags but no way to communicate with their parents.  Authorities further indicate that the poor kids had to deal with the smell of gas and cat crap!

Both parents are being charged with felony neglect of a dependent. For more on this story, check out the video.
