If I had to pay a fee for all of the parties I did not attend, I would be broke! I have RSVP'd to weddings and afterward was not able to go. I'm not saying it is okay, but it has happened. To my knowledge I was never sent a bill. Not the case for a 5-year-old who missed a birthday party.

Derek Nash actually found a no-show fee in the amount of $24 dollars in his son's school bag. Are you kidding me? Mr. Nash said he had planned on Alex attending the party, but had forgotten that the boy was supposed to visit his grandparents the same day. According to the birthday breaching parent, he had no contact information to let the host family know. That seems legit. Are we not familiar with the term "Sh** Happens"?

Usually if you do not attend a party, a wedding or a birthday party people just bitch about you behind your back, not send a bill. I have always found it rude when I am at a social gathering and the host complains about who is NOT there. What about enjoying the people that did show up? It appears as if the family is not wiling to pay, nor should they. That is just my opinion. Penny for your thoughts?
