Dad’s Ugly Sweater Embarrasses Kid on First Day of School [VIDEO]

The first day of school is hard for a kid... it's even harder when you have to walk in with your ugly sweater-wearing dad.

This dad gets extra points in my book. I have done the exact same thing while walking my daughter to school. I don't remember what ridiculous outfit I had on -- there may have been a wig involved -- but I do remember her keeping her distance when I tried to walk next to her and flat out sprinting away when I tried to give her a hug in front of the school. Good times. I just wish I had thought to get video.

When you're a kid, you're always embarrassed by your parents... and that's before they even try to humiliate you. Somewhere along the line you become a parent and get great enjoyment from watching your kids squirm in front of their friends, terrified that you'll say or do something that they think reflects poorly on them. If that makes me a bad dad -- so be it. It's a family tradition. #DadJokesFTW
