Dave Grohl’s Classic Drum Solo – Video Flashback

Forgotten how good Dave Grohl is at playing drums? It's understandable, since he's usually slinging a guitar and screaming into a microphone with the Foo Fighters these days. But this video from 1993 will bring back memories of his drumming days.

In other Grohl news, the skinsman was recently named one of the Top 10 Rock Drummers of All Time. The list, put together by Gibson.com, placed Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails) in the No. 8 spot, ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy at No. 6, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich at No. 5 and Grohl at No. 4.

“Grohl has come a long way since his early heavy-handed drumming with Freak Baby and Scream, and it's a career filled with taking chances and following his heart,” the site said. “It's no wonder everyone wants to jam with him.”
