Daycare Staff Remembers Young Girl Killed On Dort Highway, Investigation Continues [VIDEO]

Like many of you, my heart breaks for Amani Deseri Jones, the 4-year-old girl who was struck and killed by a vehicle yesterday on Dort Highway. Amani was walking with her mother and sister at the time of the crash.

The trio were on there way to Gloria's Little Angels Child Day Care Center. As you can imagine, employees at the day care center are quite shaken up. Theresa Gonzales, who works at the daycare, spoke with WNEM about how special Amani was. As far as the accident, alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor at this time and reports indicate the driver is cooperating. Our hearts our with the family and friends of Amani Deseri Jones.
