Year after year I write a reminder when it is time to either 'spring forward' or 'fall back'. Yes, it is that time again, daylight saving time. Before I go any further, please note I typed 'saving' NOT 'savings'. There is no 's' on daylight saving time. The more you know.

This Saturday, November 1st, at 2:00 AM, your clock needs to fall back one hour. I don't care about losing and hour, or gaining an hour depending on if is spring or fall, what I hate is the fact that it is dark earlier. I cannot be the only one. So many of you will be going into work when it's dark, and leaving work when it's dark. Ugh.

I kind of remember talk about Michigan and a few other states, not wanting to continue daylight saving time. Does anyone else remember that? It was a few years ago. I don't know who would be leading the charge on cancelling daylight saving, but I would certainly be in favor of ending it. There does not seem to be a logical explanation for doing it. If you know different, please enlighten me.

From all accounts DLS has been used throughout much of the U.S., Canada and Europe since World War I. It was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966. I don't know about you, but I have not heard President Donald Trump's stand on daylight saving time, or Joe Biden's thoughts. This could be a real deal breaker for me in terms of who I vote for. I need an answer on this before Tuesday, November 3rd.

In terms of prepping for this, do nothing. Your phone will reset the time on its own. That being said, there will be someone, somewhere - late for something on Sunday. I guarantee it.
