In what's becoming an alarming trend in the United States, another gunman has opened fire upon a seemingly innocent crowd -- this time outside the Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan -- causing multiple injuries and at least two deaths.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that many people were struck as a gunman opened fire around 9 am near the Empire State Building in New York City, New York.  Reports now are saying that at least eight were injured, and two are dead as a result of the shooting that took place at 34th Street and 5th Avenue, near the entrance to the ESB's observation deck.

The FBI is currently on the scene with the NYPD, where one officer has gone on the record to report that the gunman was eventually shot and killed. The shooter's identity is still unknown at this time, stay tuned for that information as well as full details which we'll have for you as they become available.
