A pitbull viciously attacked a young boy in a Detroit neighborhood recently and after others had failed to separate the dog from his victim, one man fired a shot into the crazed beast.

I'm pretty outspoken when it comes to humans and dog attacks, so I'm not even going to try and pretend that this one is a two-way street. This man was absolutely justified in shooting this dog and I know that some of the pitbull lovers out there will take me to task for saying so. I've said it before (in a much more in-depth article that you can read by clicking here or the button below) and I'll say it again -- humans > dogs.

When it comes down to one life or the other, I'm sorry, pup. You gotta go. There are those that will say the dog was provoked or that there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. I don't buy into all of that. You never hear anyone say, "there are no bad people, just bad parents." Why is there this odd double standard when it comes to dogs?
