Discorvery Channel Will be Premiering ‘Weed Wars’ This Fall

Reality shows are everywhere, its ridiculous how many reality shows exist. Discovery Channel is all reality shows any more -- and now they are adding another one; "Weed Wars." If you have ever seen A&E's "Auction Wars" you may understand. Time to grab some munchies, wraps and a slurpee -- your TV will give you the munchies.

"Weed Wars" will follow Steve DeAngelo, owner/operator of Harborside Health Center, an Oakland California medical marijuana dispensary. DeAngelo claims that Harborside is the largest retailer of medical marijuana in the United States -- serving over 80,000 "patients."

Nancy Daniels told Entertainment Weekly:

“Weed Wars fearlessly pulls back the curtain on a once illegal and still controversial world, from the inner workings of the business to Steve’s distinctive leadership style, Weed Wars is a fascinating glimpse into this highly unique setting. Like Gold Rush or Deadliest Catch, these are guys pursuing their own version of the American Dream.”

Flint sees stores like this pop-up almost daily, it seems that we have more "pot stores" than grocery stores. When do you think that one of our own stores will follow suit with a reality show? I'm curious to see how high this guy is during the filming -- you know he samples the goods to make sure they are good enough to sell.
