The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival is doing its part to help a noble cause, as the festival has unveiled a Text to Donate campaign with the goal to raise donations for the hard-working United States military.

To make a $5 donation, simply text MAYHEM to 41518. The funds raised will help in assisting the “needs and challenges of our active duty military, veterans and their families,” according to the release.

The program is part of this year’s ‘Metal of Honor' fundraiser. David Draiman -- frontman for festival headliner Disturbed -- recently recorded a special PSA to further explain the cause. View it, below.

The Mayhem Festival has also teamed up with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), and IAVA will supply 30 tickets for each show to veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan via The Rucksack. Military employees and vets with an ID should also stop by IAVA’s tent at the festival for freebies.

Disturbed, Megadeth, Godsmack, Trivium, Machine Head, In Flames and more spearhead this year’s Mayhem. The tour kicks off this Saturday, July 9, in San Bernardino, Calif.
