A headline you may have seen pop up in your news feed today has Detroit rap mega-star Eminem saying that "Flint has the most beautiful women in the world." For real?

It's important that you read more than a couple sentences here, because there's some important details within, but first let's look at the full quote from WTOE 5 News below:

“I knew a girl from Flint, Michigan and I visited her and her family there years ago and I thought at the time that maybe she was just an exception but she wasn’t. And I’m not saying that the women there are necessarily more physically beautiful than other women in other places but, from my experience in Flint, the women there have the entire package, ya know? They’re not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. The girl I knew from Flint was sweet, caring, and beautiful all-around and I found that to be the case for a lot of women there."

Flint ladies, before you get all hot and bothered thinking you can get with Slim Shady -- hear me out. Just remember -- you are beautiful, regardless of what Eminem does or does not think about you.

Now that I've said that -- brace yourselves. The story claiming Eminem said that is fake AF. That doesn't mean you're not beautiful though. You don't want to be Em's woman anyway. You ever hear how he raps about his ex? Plus, homeboy hasn't smiled in like 15 years. Sounds like trouble to me.

This clickbait article from WTOE 5 News is the latest in a long string of bullcrap stories targeting those who blindly share things based on the title, and have no idea how to distinguish the real from the fake online. These websites disguise themselves as poorly-ran news websites, and have all these hidden, unsourced articles where celebrities say nice things about different cities. For example, I've already had to break the news that Woody Harrelson isn't moving to Flint and Leonardo DiCaprio isn't moving to Warren. Someone just told me about another one from this site that claimed Robert DeNiro got in a bar fight in Saginaw. Again -- fake AF.

The scumbags that run these sites are actually kind of smart. They know that when people see a celebrity says something nice about their little corner of the earth, they'll want it to be true. So much so, that they'll pass it on to their friends to share in a celebratory, "Hey, look how great we are" kind of moment, before even properly vetting the source of the info.

Eminem may think Flint women are the most beautiful in the world, but he damn sure didn't say that quote. In fact, the website uses this quote over and over for different celebrity/town combos, as you can see based on the Google search results below.

Sorry if you already shared their article. They played you. On the bright side, I did write a comprehensive guide to spotting BS stories on the internet. You could check that out and prevent yourself from being suckered by these fake websites again. This one was a little easier than most to disprove. A few clicks on their website would've brought you to this "About" page:
