Dramatic Diarrhea Increase in Genesee County

The cause of the increase is still unknown but earlier this week The Genesee County Health Department issued a warning about a dramatic increase of gastrointestinal illnesses in Genesee County.

According to WNEM, gastrointestinal illnesses causes mild to severe diarrhea and for whatever reason it's mostly being seen in school-aged children.

The best thing you can do to avoid spending too much time on the crapper is to simply wash your hands and avoid foods that have been recalled. The Health Department also advises anyone with diarrhea symptoms to stay home from work or school.
