I don't care if boogers were the healthiest thing you could put back into your body, there's no way you'd find me chowing down on one of those green globs.

Regardless how I feel, scientists say that eating your boogers is actually healthy. According to Simplemost, salivary mucins in our mucus can help to protect our teeth from developing cavities. Keep in mind though, you'll want to wash your hands before digging since the average person's hands have like 150 types of bacteria on them. I honestly don't think I could mash a booger into my teeth so I think I will just stick with flossing and brushing daily.

I'm not gonna lie, this is really grossing me out while I try and write this. Studies also show that your sweet delicious boogers can help boost the body’s overall immunity. Like we've always heard that exposure to germs at an early age helps build a kid's immunity. If that's the case then why are so many booger eating kids sick all the time?

I think there are other ways to be healthy, so let's avoid digging for nose nuggets.
