Eddie Vedder Solo Album Due In June [AUDIO]

It was already gonna be an incredible year for fans of Pearl Jam. Now comes word that frontman Eddie Vedder is dropping a solo album. Check out one of the new tracks here... 

I've already told you about the re-releases of Vs. and Vitalogy, the upcoming documentary, and summer music festival (if you missed it you can find the details here), now fans of PJ have another bonus to look forward to in 2011.

Eddie Vedder received critical acclaim and even a grammy nom for his last solo outing on the Into the Wild soundtrack, now he gears up to release a new solo disc reportedly titled Uke Songs. Vedder has become a talented Ukulele player over the years and those who show up to PJ shows early enough (before the opening band) usually can catch Eddie playing a two or three song set on the Uke. Fans can expect some of the previously unrecorded original songs from the Eddie pre-sets (Such as "Heartbreaker" and the single "Longing to Belong") on the new album due out sometime in June.
