Father Pays Daughter To Deactivate Facebook Account

How much do you think it would cost you to kick your (or your kids) Facebook habit? One father found out just how much. Personally, I think he got off cheap.

14-year-old, Rachel Baier from Wellesley, Mass., struck a deal with her dad that would require her to deactivate her Facebook account for four and a half months. The trade off?, Her father Paul Baier, a vice president at a Boston-area energy firm, will pay her $200. If she can hack it, and according to the contract, she gets  $50 in April and $150 in June. To guarantee she keeps her end of the bargain, Paul, has all-access to Rachel’s Facebook account, including the password to avoid Rachel sneaking in and reactivating it. However, I don’t think that will be an issue considering it was Rachel’s idea in the first place.
