Felony Charges Dropped Against Former Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputy [VIDEO]

Back in 2012, a video came to light of a sheriff's deputy's alleged assault on a Genesee County inmate. The video shows three officers walking into a cell to confront the inmate. After a few moments of talking, the deputy pepper sprayed the inmate. 

Just this week, Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton confirmed his office has dropped the prosecution against former Sgt. Gerald Parks.

"I just think that the case should come to an end," Leyton said, adding the dismissal was in the interest of court efficiency and tax dollars at stake.
